Remotely Operated Vehicle (R.O.V.) Programs

Interested in underwater robotics or technology? Ever wonder what it is like to control a remotely operated vehicle underwater? Or, are you a teacher looking for a fun and educational activity for your whole class? Try the GLNMM’s Underwater Robotics Classes!

Student Remotely Operated Vehicle ProgramsIn these exciting classes, you will have the opportunity to design, build, and operate a fully functional remotely operated vehicle, or ROV. These classes are open to kids and adults of all ages and backgrounds. You do not need any prior experience with robotics or electronics. The basic class takes less than two hours!

For schools and teachers interested in a fun and educational activity, the GLNMM’s ROV Program is a great choice for class field trips and meets the State of Michigan’s mandated education requirements for multiple grades. In addition, the ROV program qualifies as a STEM-based educational activity. Basic ROV builds can be combined with and the museum’s exhibit area for a fun-filled educational experience! Underwater ROV Classes can even be conducted at your school without ever having to leave the building!

Call the museum for more information about these exciting opportunities!
